She loves this little puppy. It's the most convenient puppy for us right now. She's named him Mocha, oddly named after a friend's dog that accidentally bit her.
I was looking through pictures with Carissa yesterday and found this picture of Christina and I from a springbreak work trip to Mexico in 2003. It was our first picture together. She thought we were friends. I was in love. We started dating on the next spring break trip in 2004 and were engaged by springbreak 2005.
Ha ha. Anyways, I got a little closer to the dam on Friday evening with Christina and Carissa. I was telling Christina how the dam worked to create electricity and Carissa can repeat almost every step of the process. If you see her, ask her how the turbines work :)
This morning while we were below the dam, a couple of A-10s passed over. Carissa was not real impressed with the loud engine noise but I always enjoy them.
Carissa and I have found some fun things to do while Christina is attending her conference. We sit by the lake and watch boats and look for "ducks and turtles" (we've only found ducks so far).
Today we drove down to get a good look at Bagnell dam that holds up the water for the Lake of the Ozarks. Carissa wasn't in a picture-model mood though. So here's proof she doesn't always like her picture taken.
We had a blast with family and friends at Carissa's birthday party. I've got some more photos on Facebook for you to check out too. If we're not friends, we should be :)
Our little angel is turning TWO tomorrow. I asked her yesterday what she wanted for her birthday breakfast and she answered "candy". I don't know about feeding her candy for breakfast but we've got a fun day in store and a big party on Saturday.
We were back at Christina's parents house a few weeks ago and I got this shot of Sunny, one of her dad's stallions. Carissa loves to play with this horse and he is always gentle with her.
We celebrated Christina's birthday this past weekend by going to the Fox Theater in St. Louis to see Wicked. A couple we're friends with also went along. After the show we went to dinner at Vin de Set, a trendy French place near downtown. We had an awesome time. Happy birthday Christina!
We've been working on constructing new railings and getting the whole deck ready to re-stain. It's been a lot of hard work but is starting to look really nice. Finished pics will hopefully be up soon.
