The weather today is quite cooler than it was on Saturday. We've made Carissa a little sand box and she has enjoyed it.

Still Having Fun

We spent most of the weekend outside having a grand time. The weather is getting better and better. Fall is definitely here.

Four Weeks

Some of you may know that I have Crohn's Disease. If you don't know what that is, my short decription has always been that my intestines hate me. I've dealt with not so pleasent symptoms on and off since 2001 but I've been on various medications to attempt to control these symptoms. I've had my ups and downs these past eight years, but I give credit to my parents, Christina and ultimately God for getting me through it all.

Anyways, every four weeks this is me.

Just a little I.V. and two hours time.

The nurses have always been nice and usually talkative. Today, my nurse asked me my job. After I told her I was an assoc. pastor, she excitedly told me about a ministry she's starting at her church, a group for gays and family/friends of gays. How awesome is that? It's inconvienent to get this treatment, but that made today worth it.

Papa's Horses

We just love Papa's horses. We probably spent about 45 minutes watching and petting the horses today.

Bull Ride

We're at a bull ride in Licking tonight. Carissa is having a great time and is loving her hat.

Visit with David

On our way up to John and Gillian's wedding, we stopped in La Crosse, WI to spend the night. We got up Sunday morning and went to church at Great River Vineyard, the church that our Rolla Vineyard planted in June 2007. It was exciting to attend and see GRV working and changing lives.

Carissa got to hang out with David, son of the Mudd's, who left with the church plant from Rolla. She really wanted to hold him, but we convinced her that he was not just a doll :) Plus, I think he outweighs her by a bit. It was great to see them Sunday and talk more that night at John's wedding.

John & Gillian's Wedding

We just got back from a great trip up to Duluth, MN to see some dear friends get married. The weather was up north is awesome and it made for a wonderful, outdoor wedding.
