Saturday Playlist: Hem

We're not actually at home today. We are on the road to visit Christina's brother's family in the KC area. I got turned onto a new (to me) band called Hem by one of my wife's co-workers. So that is what we're listening to in the car this weekend. It's indie folk-rock with a little country but without the twang (of which I loathe). Check them out on iTunes.

Snow Day

We're all home today because of the sleet/ice we got last night and there is supposed to be more coming. Christina's school canceled classes today so I stayed home as well. No sense in making a dangerous trip to Rolla.

Carissa found something fun to play with this morning.

Then we ventured outside. Tillie was glad that we came out to play with her.

Monday Fun

We had a fun time today. We also learned something new as well. See below.

She did something both amazing and dangerous today. She rolled from her back to her side and then pulled herself to standing in the crib. Note to self, side rail gets put in the "up" position from now on.

Saturday Playlist: Bon Iver

This weekend we're listening to Bon Iver. This first album was mostly done by Justin Vernon alone in a cabin for 3 months in northern Wisconsin. Their new EP, "Blood Bank", comes out this Tuesday, Jan 20 (Here's a link to the download the title track of the EP "Blood Bank" for free). You can check them out on iTunes as well.

Worship Practice

I hung around tonight for worship practice. Carissa was such a trooper. I carried her around while Brady and I set the stage. She went with me up to the sound booth and back several times. Finally, I decided to lay her down and let her watch the team play. Until she rolled over and fell asleep, right in the middle of practice. And they weren't playing softly.

Hello Estes Park

One week from today, I will be back in Estes Park, CO for the Vineyard National Worship Leaders Retreat. Last year was my first year at the retreat and it was great. I'm excited to get back there again. Brady also gets to go again (thanks to some "devil days"). Below are some more pictures from last year.
