Trip Review

We're back now. We had a great time. Carissa handled the traveling wonderfully. The retreat was good, the food was good, and the golfing was good. It was also great to stop in LaCrosse on our way home and see the Mudd's, the Wilson's, and John. A special thanks to the Mudd's for their hospitality. Here are some random photos from the trip.

Stopped in Mendota, IL for gas. She's been great so far. Only a few more hours on the road to go.

Friday @ home

I get to spend Friday's at home with Carissa. Today we spent some time in her bumbo chair and played with toys. Or tried to eat them.

This is her favorite thing to do right now. She can lay there and entertain herself for almost an hour sometimes.

Road Trip Next Week

Well, next week we'll be taking our first road trip as a family. I plan to blog our trip so be looking back for many pictures of the fun I know we'll have. I can guarantee the fun because this will be by far the longest car ride yet for Carissa.

We're headed to the Midwest Pastors Retreat. It's held in lovely Green Lake, WI, where "all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average" (get it). There is a beautiful conference center there and they have the best food. You always come back heavier than when you left unfortunately. The golf course adjacent to the conference center is awesome (ranked #3 in the state, #55 in the nation). I think I'll find time to play with some of the guys. We'll head to LaCrosse, WI after the retreat to visit some dear friends that we haven't seen in a long time. Then home to Licking.

Well, that is our plan. We'll head out on Monday night and hopefully return on Friday night.

Almost 3 months old

She's almost 3 months old now and look how much she's changed. The first picture is from the day we brought her home. The second is from Saturday, when we got home from St. Louis. It's hard to see the changes day by day but when I look back at pictures, it is amazing to me how much she is growing.

Carrisa gets to sleep in with daddy on Fridays. She is the definition of peaceful when she is in our bed.

When we woke up I decided to have a photo session with her.

She's all giggles when she first wakes up. She also likes to talk as best she can. We're expecting to have her talking before she can walk because she has some stories that she really wants to tell us.
